CBD

CBD products have 3 different types of CBD that they can have in them:

Full Spectrum CBD:

• Contains all the naturally occurring compounds found in the hemp plant, including THC (in trace amounts).
• Contains various cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, and others, as well as terpenes and flavonoids.
• Considered to have an “entourage effect” where the combination of all the compounds enhances the overall therapeutic effect.
• May produce a more comprehensive range of potential health benefits than other forms of CBD.
• May have psychoactive effects due to the presence of THC (although because the amount of THC is so small, the majority of people DO NOT have any psychoactive effects and for the small percent that does, these effects are typically minimal).

Broad Spectrum CBD:

• Similar to full spectrum CBD, but the THC has been removed through a refinement process.
• Contains various cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, and others, as well as terpenes and flavonoids.
• Has the potential to produce a more comprehensive range of potential health benefits than isolate CBD.
• Does not have psychoactive effects due to the absence of THC.

Isolate CBD:

• Purest form of CBD, containing only CBD and no other cannabinoids, terpenes, or flavonoids.
• Typically made by extracting CBD from the hemp plant and then purifying it to remove all other compounds.
• Considered to have less potential for health benefits than full-spectrum or broad-spectrum CBD due to the lack of other compounds.
• Does not have psychoactive effects due to the absence of THC.

Overall, the main difference between full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate CBD is the presence of THC and other compounds found in the hemp plant. Full-spectrum CBD contains all the naturally occurring compounds, including trace amounts of THC, while broad-spectrum CBD removes the THC through a refinement process. Isolate CBD is the purest form of CBD, containing only CBD and no other compounds.

THC

Delta-9 THC, Delta-8 THC, and Delta-10 THC are all different types of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) compounds found in cannabis. Delta-9 THC is the most abundant and well-known form of THC, and it is what people typically refer to when they use the term THC without further specification.

Delta-8 THC:

• Delta-8 THC is similar to delta-9 THC in its chemical structure and effects, but it is less potent and offers a more “mellow” feeling than Delta 9 THC for most users.
• It is federally legal in the United States as long as it is derived from hemp and contains less than 0.3% delta-9 THC.
• It is believed to have potential therapeutic benefits such as pain relief, anxiety reduction, and anti-nausea effects.

Delta-10 THC:

• It is a relatively new and less well-known form of THC that is found in small amounts in some cannabis strains.
• Delta-10 THC is chemically similar to delta-8 and delta-9 THC, but it has a slightly different molecular structure.
• It is believed to have similar effects to delta-8 and delta-9 THC, but research on its effects and potential therapeutic benefits is limited.
• It is federally legal in the United States as long as it is derived from hemp and contains less than 0.3% delta-9 THC.
