General CBD FAQ

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a phytocannabinoid commonly found in high concentrations of certain strains of hemp. It is one of at least 113 cannabinoids discovered in the cannabis plant and is non-intoxicating in its effects.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids (cannabinoids produced by the body) and the receptors they bind to, cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1) and cannabinoid receptor type 2 (CB2). The endocannabinoid system has been shown to be involved in the regulation of a number of physiological and cognitive processes throughout the human body. Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds that are most commonly found in–but not exclusive to—cannabis. In addition to being produced endogenously by the human endocannabinoid system, cannabinoids have also been found in other botanical sources, including hops and varieties of Echinacea. At least 113 cannabinoids have been isolated from cannabis and characterized, with two of the most notable ones being cannabidiol (CBD) tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). YES! Our CBD products always contain < 0.3% THC. Therefore, it is federally legal for us to ship and for you to consume our products nationwide without worry.

The simple answer is because it probably won’t actually be CBD. Amazon prohibits the sale of any products containing CBD on their site. You will see alot of products advertised as “Hemp Oil” products, but in reality they are hemp seed oil products that contain ZERO CBD. Click here to read our CBD article about buying cannabidiol (CBD) on Amazon.

YES! All of our products (CBD, Delta 8, Delta 9, & Delta 10) are triple 3rd party lab tested and Certificates of Analysis are readily available right on our “Lab Results” page.

No, CBD will not get you high! THC causes the psychoactive effects, NOT CBD. So you can consume even high doses of CBD and you will not get “high”!

No, cannabinoids have no known toxicity. While everyone’s dosage amount is different for their desired results, many people start in small amounts and increase the dosage from there.

Due to the wide range of use-cases for CBD, appropriate serving sizes can vary widely. Your serving size will be dependent upon your body weight, metabolism, individual body chemistry, and other metabolic factors.

We cannot make specific recommendations regarding serving sizes. We recommend starting with a small amount of CBD, and gradually increasing the serving until the desired effects are achieved.

No. A medical card or prescription is not needed because Hemp Derived CBD Oil is legal in all 50 states.

While hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant, hemp oil is a product derived from the leaves, flowers, and stalks of the hemp plant. Hemp seeds rarely contain minute detectable quantities of cannabinoids but typically, hemp seeds contain non-detectable levels of cannabinoids. By contrast, detectable levels of cannabinoids can be found in the stalks and leaves of hemp, with the highest concentrations of cannabinoids being found in the flowers of the hemp plant. CBD/hemp oil products have a much greater concentration of CBD than hemp seed oil products, while hemp seed oil products commonly contain no therapeutically viable levels of cannabinoids.

Cannabis is the plant species which is then legally recognized as two different plants, marijuana and hemp. Hemp is a cannabis plant that contains less than .3% THC. Marijuana contains much higher levels of THC which is the cannabinoid that causes intoxication.

Store your CBD products in a cool, dry, & dark place. Try to avoid direct sunlight as well.

Terpenes are what gives cannabis or hemp its taste and smell. These savory compounds are also found in other plants, spices, and fruits  to produce scents ranging from sweet citrus to more pungent odors. Beyond simply producing smells, terpenes also work in synergy with cannabinoids to contribute to the Entourage Effect within the body’s endocannabinoid system.

The Entourage Effect states that CBD works way better with all the natural compounds from a cannabis plant in the CBD product. This includes cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc. They all work synergistically together, meaning one cannabinoid helps the other to work more effectively. To get the full benefits of the Entourage Effect, you want to get full spectrum CBD products. Click here to read more about the Entourage Effect.
