The Mass Apothecary Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase from The Mass Apothecary. Please read this policy carefully, as it explains our rules for returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Eligibility for Returns
- Our return window lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. After 30 days, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds.
- Only unopened CBD products in their original condition are eligible for return within this timeframe.
Non-returnable items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Gift cards
- Certain health and personal care items
- Any vape or inhalation products
- Any THCa, Delta-8, Delta-9, or other THC products
Proof of Purchase
To complete your return, a receipt or proof of purchase is required. Please do not send items back to the manufacturer.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of approval or rejection. If approved:
- Refunds to your original payment method are typically issued within 3–7 business days.
- Once issued, refunds may take 2–21 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.
- Store credit refunds are issued instantly.
Partial Refunds
Partial refunds may be granted in cases such as:
- Items not in original condition
- Missing parts not due to our error
- Returns made outside of the 30-day window (if approved at our discretion)
Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund after 21 business days:
- Double-check your bank account.
- Contact your credit card company and bank (processing delays may occur).
- If you still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@massapothecary.com.
Sale Items
- Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds.
- Sale or clearance items are non-refundable.
Sezzle – Buy Now, Pay Later
Orders placed using Sezzle are subject to the following:
- A 20% return fee will be deducted from your refund.
- If you cancel an order within 19 minutes of placing it, there is no return fee.
- Cancellations after 19 minutes, even if unshipped, are still subject to the 20% fee.
Exchanges
We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same product, contact us at support@massapothecary.com for instructions.
Gifts
- If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive store credit for the return value.
- If the item was not marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Free Gifts & Samples
Orders often include free samples, gifts, or full-size promotional items.
- If you return a qualifying purchase but keep the free items, the retail value of those free items will be deducted from your refund.
- To receive a full refund, return all free items included with your order.
Shipping & Costs
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- If you receive a refund, the original shipping cost of your order will be deducted.
- Expedited shipping (Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express) costs are never refundable.
- If your item is over $75, we recommend a trackable shipping method or purchasing insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Additional Non-Refundable Charges
- Credit Card Processing Fees: Orders canceled or returned that were paid with a credit/debit card will have current processing fees (generally 3–5% of the order total) deducted from the refund.
- Package Protection/Insurance: If you purchased package protection, this cost is non-refundable unless the order was canceled before shipment.
